From her birth town in the Eastern Cape, Zola Nombona went to Victoria Girls High and later graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand where she majored in Dramatic Arts honours degree. It is through her educational competence and skills that Zola landed her first majorly acting job on the drama series Intersexions. A true thespian  Zola has broken records and has multiple award nominations for her brilliant delivery of the arts. Her rise in the industry is truly an inspiring tale, since her debut she has continued to soar and lead several award winning productions such as Lockdown, iNumber Number, eHostela and has featured in  mzansi household fave soapies such as Isono  and Generation. Her first love remains theatre and she has taken lead female role in the theatre production “The Suite” which was Directed by Mr James Ngcobo. Wife to award winning actor, filmmaker and executive producer Thomas Gumede, together with their beautiful baby boy Cebelihle they make an absolute entertainment industry family. While a performer, Zola has also been making strides on the digital entrepreneur front and has worked on exciting social media campaigns as a brand ambassador to Savanna cider and with long standing partnerships with brands such as Huawei, Foreo, Shield, Adidas and Huggies. As a businesswoman, Zola is the founder of LXVE shapewear. In 2022, retail clothing giant ‘The Foschini Group’ has officially announced Zola Nombona as its first official brand ambassador.
